Welcome to Ugie Angling Association

The River Ugie Fishery is managed by a local angling association. Season, Weekly or Day permits are available from Lunar Fishing’s office, East Quay, The Harbour, Peterhead.

The main river, which in its time, was one of the most prolific Sea Trout rivers in Scotland, can be fished from the village of Longside east, to the golf-course bridge, down to near the mouth of the river, for the most part from either bank. Access to the river is from a number of parking areas, made available by local farmers. There is a river restocking programme in operation for both Salmon and Sea Trout; we therefore operate a two-fish-per-day limit.

The main fisheries are:

Sea Trout: May - September - Average 300 per annum.

Salmon: July - October - Average 100 per annum.

All visitors are reminded to respect farming areas and livestock. Please refrain from leaving any litter or used fishing tackle on river banks.

Any poaching or pollution incidents, please contact our water bailiff, Bob Davidson, Tel: 01771 622811, Mobile: 07768854834.
